Senior Specialist, Sarbanes-Oxley Implementation Project - any salary level is considered!

The Senior Specialist, Sarbanes-Oxley Implementation Project required to work in one of the largest oil companies in RK, with the office located in Almaty.

The Senior Specialist will be entrusted with the following main functions:

Reviews of internal control documentation;

Remediation to improve design effectiveness of internal controls;

Preparation of test plans;

Conduct test projects and evaluate the test results;

To learn & understand the SOX Express – Open Pages, compliance software including maintenance and administration;

To assist in entity level controls including IT General controls and spreadsheet controls and their remediation

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

University degree in Economics or Accounting or Finance or Operations Management from a internationally recognized university with 5 years work experience of accounting/auditing or related experience

Must know:

IAS and GAAP accounting standards;

Sarbanes-Oxley act and key derivative legislation;

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);

Preferably knowledge of COSO framework;

Fluency in English and Russian

Required skills:

Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Access);

Knowledge of IT related controls and familiarity with SAP would be an advantage;

Strong organizational and communication skills;

Ability to resolve issues with minimum supervision;

Minimal Supervisory skills
