Contracts Legal Advisor for international mining company based in Almaty

Requirements: University Law Degree. Experience in Contract law, Contract negotiations and Contract management as it relates to the resource sector in a mineral extraction or sub-soil user environment. Intermediate level of English.

Responsibilities: Responsible for providing legal expertise and review of draft commercial contracts for provision of services to the Company, and for ensuring that each service agreement under contract meets and complies with Kazakh law and sub-soil user regulatory requirements for contracting and tendering/procurement, meets the obligations of the joint venture partnership between companies, and is in alignment with standard international and national contracting models for provision of contracted services that are required for the mining operation and business unit.

Manager of Legal for international mining company based in Almaty

Requirements: 5-10 years practicing lawyer, several years’ experience in foreign companies operating as joint ventures in Kazakhstan. Kazakh law degree/thorough knowledge of Kazakh law. Fluent in English. Managerial skills.

Responsibilities: Ensure that company receives all required legal advice and services with a particular focus on contractual arrangements between the owners such as product sharing agreements, taxation, legal support related to increasing the production level, annual government approvals for licenses and permits, Contracts for purchased services, participation on the Contracts Approval Board, and legal administration of company’s investments. Ensure compliance with Kazakh laws and laws of applicable countries relating to, for example, transportation, exportation/importation and customs

Services Contracts Manager for international mining company based in Almaty

Requirements: University degree in some aspect of Contract law, Contract negotiations, and Contract management as it relates to the resource sector in a mineral extraction or sub-soil user environment. Min.5 years of supervisory experience in mining or other resource setting. Intermediate level in English.

Responsibilities: The Services Contracts Manager is responsible for preparing, updating, and communicating the Service Contract policies and procedures of the Company, and guiding, supporting, and coordinating the development of service contracts which shall be in full compliance to Kazakh law and regulatory requirements.
